Voicemail is an answer phone service that works if you can't get to the phone or you're on another call. You may record a personalised greeting message and it can store voice messages for up to 20 days.

Task Dial
Access the Voicemail main menu 1571
Check your messages At the main menu, dial 1 to start playing messages. The following options are available for message managing:
  • 0 to return call
  • 1 to replay
  • 2 to save
  • 3 to delete
  • 7 to skip back
  • 8 to pause
  • 9 to skip forward
To record a new personal greeting At the main menu, dial 2 and then 1 at the next menu
  • Press 1 to start recording
  • Press # to stop recording
When you have recorded your message, you have four options:
  • 1 to listen
  • 2 to start using
  • 3 to re-record
  • * to cancel and use current message
To revert to the standard message greeting
  • At the main menu, dial 2 and then 1 at the next menu
  • Dial 2 to use the standard message


Voicemail Extra has several additional features. It allows you to choose the amount of rings before the call is answered, listen to the messages from any phone with a PIN and even get SMS alerts on your mobile when new messages are received. The 3 most recent callers numbers can also be saved, providing they aren't withheld. The messages can also be stored up to 30 days.

Task Dial
Set or change a remote access PIN
  • At the main menu, dial 2 for Personal Options and dial 2 again to set a PIN
  • Dial 1 to save
Check your messages from another phone Dial your landline number and when the Voicemail Extra answers, press * and enter your PIN
Change the number of rings before Voicemail Extra answers
  • From the main menu, dial 2 for Personal Options and then 3 for Calling Options
You'll be told the current setting and then have the option of dialling:
  • 0 for 0 rings
  • 1 for 4 rings
  • 2 for 7 rings
  • 4 for 10 rings
Link a mobile phone
  • At the main menu, dial 2 for Personal Options and then 6 for Link Mobile
  • Enter the mobile number followed by #
  • Dial 1 to link number
  • Dial 2 to change number
Remove or change linked mobile
  • At the main menu, dial 6
  • You will hear the linked mobile number
  • Dial 2 to change the number
  • Dial 3 to unlink the mobile
Receive SMS notifications
  • From the linked mobile, dial your landline
  • When it answers, dial *
  • This will take you to the main menu
Check the number of callers who have not left messages
  • At the main menu, dial 4
  • You will hear the details of up to three callers who didn't leave a message
  • Dial 0 to return the call
  • Dial 1 to listen again
  • Dial 2 to skip to the next call
  • Dial 3 to clear the details
