On 15th April 2024, we will be making some changes to our bundled hosting service in moving away from cPanel.

As part of these changes there will be some server name changes which will happen at the same time and it is important that email clients are updated ahead of time to ensure that there isn't any disruption.

Where you are using a server name of azure.uno.uk.net or blush.uno.uk.net for email, you should change to mail.[hostname].unospace.net. The [hostname] variable should be replaced with your personal hostname. For example, if your email address ended @bobsmith.unospace.net, you would use mail.bobsmith.unospace.net. This applies for both incoming (POP3/IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) mail.

The same would apply for FTP changing to ftp.[hostname].unospace.net.

Customers hosting their own domain can continue to use their domain with the mail. or ftp. prefix.

If you have any questions about this work, please contact our team via Hosting Support in your portal.

Features

There will also be changes to some functionality offered in our new control panel, with the removal of some unsupported features, addition of some new features and changes to others.

Spambox - A per account junk folder that will receive detected spam with user controls for detection levels and easier white/blacklisting controls

MailGuard - Replaced with Spambox following customer feedback

Card/CalDav/Webdisk - Support for this will be removed

Email Forwarders - Legacy support for this will be removed, no forwarders will be carried over and mailboxes should be created for these addresses

Catch-All - Due to spam attacks against our servers common with catch-all, mailboxes will now need to be created for specific addresses

Installatron - Very low use means it is not viable to continue providing this plugin as it would require a total rewrite but WordPress is still supported, with Joomla support to follow

WordPress Manager - Replacing Installatron for WordPress sites allowing easy management, upgrades and debugging

FTP - For security an FTP user is no longer automatically created. Should you need to use FTP, this can be done via the new control panel

Address Books

If you have contacts stored in your webmail on your linked hostname (such as via the /webmail URL), you will need to take a backup of these as they will not be migrated on the change. Importing to the new webmail client will be possible once changed.

Maintenance Window

The work is due to start at 11pm on 15th April 2024 and during the changes, incoming email will be held and paused so no messages are lost. They will be resumed as soon the work is complete.
